The Seal of Excellence Award

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s Seal of Excellence Award is presented to the individual, department, organization, or agency that demonstrates the commitment to the 16 Firefighter Life Safety Initiatives, firefighter health and safety, and for its contribution to reducing the number of firefighter line-of-duty deaths and injuries.

Award Criteria

Consideration and selection of the award will be based on substantiated facts and information that the individual or group has clearly made a contribution to reducing the number of firefighter line-of-duty deaths and injuries.

Uniformed career and volunteer personnel from the rank(s) of firefighter, EMT to Fire Chief and non-uniformed personnel associated with fire, rescue and or EMS organizations are eligible to be considered and selected for this prestigious award.

The Nomination Process

Anyone can nominate an individual or group that has demonstrated the commitment to firefighter health and safety and the mission of the Everyone Goes Home® program. Everyone Goes Home® program team and advocates will review all applications.
