Fire Prevention activities are among the first to be sacrificed when public safety agencies must implement cuts. Compounding the loss of public funds, the private sector faces the same economic pressures. Building owners and business managers may be curtailing or eliminating third-party testing of built-in systems and features or other safety programs to save money.
